The prom is a big event in any young adult’s life that can be exciting, but can also cause anxiety.  This program sets out to provide teens with the vital skills to feel confident and self-assured on prom night. Covering a range of topics from appropriate attire, to “prama” (prom drama), this engaging and unique workshop provides teens with an open forum style learning environment where they can ask all of their prom-related questions and learn how they can have a stress-free (for you and for them) and memorable night!  

Topics include: 
  • preparation - who and how to ask, transportation, post-prom plans  
  • budgeting
  • attire/ grooming
  • setting reasonable expectations
  • prom date etiquette
  • being courteous to friends and peers
  • how to feel confident before and during prom (ie. asking someone to be your prom date, feeling good about yourself, etc.)
  • managing sticky social situations among friends/ dates
  • pre- and post- prom plans
  • social media do’s and don’ts
  • being safe and responsible
  • open communication with parents 
  • rules to abide by on and off the dance floor
