We employ a team of trained, qualified, and enthusiastic instructors, who all share a love of teaching and hope to revolutionize modern day social interactions by bringing friendliness, consideration, and thoughtfulness back into focus.

Faye de Muyshondt, founder

Faye was born in Wimbledon, England, although she doesn't have a British accent. She mostly grew up in Mendham, NJ where she built a burgeoning babysitting business starting at 11 years old with "Faye's Babysitting" flyers in every mailbox in her neighborhood (the flyer is framed in her office).

Despite her age, her love of children and level of responsibility garnered significant attention and a vast number of "clients." By the time she was 16, she purchased her very own Mustang convertible with her babysitting money. Faye has a 14 year public relations background building brands and images and is the author of socialsklz:-) for SUCCESS.

Monique Owens

Monique Owens started as a socialsklz:-) intern in 2011 and since that time, has taught countless workshops, assisted with Faye de Muyshondt’s book writing process (socialsklz:-) for SUCCESS), and has become the Manager of Customer Experience and Lead Instructor.  If you call or email socialsklz:-), Monique will likely be the person on our end of the line. She is a graduate of New York University’s Steinhardt school and has previously worked with children at Kid’z Musik, Les Enfants childcare center, The Lily Pond School, and All Children’s Theater. Monique is also our resident encyclopedia of parent email addresses.

India Teal

India Teal is a graduate of New York University’s prestigious Gallatin School of Individualized Study. From there she moved on to teach children ages 3-17 with York Avenue Preschool and Kaplan Test Prep, respectively. She joined the socialsklz:-) team in September 2013 and has taught the socialsklz:-) curriculum at the Hewitt school, 8 New York City Public Schools, to countless girl scout troops, and during weekly workshops at the socialsklz:-) facilities on the Upper West Side. India is also our in- house expert on “tween” pop culture.

Haley Wulfman

Most of Haley's greatest passions are in some way related to the arts or to teaching. She is a graduate of Skidmore College where she pursued studies in education and art history.

Haley is a long-time mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, has worked for museums and galleries in the U.S. and abroad, and currently teaches art at a private school in Manhattan. In her free time, she can usually be found exploring, making things, cooking, reading, or practicing bikram yoga. Haley loves sunny mornings and spending afternoons getting lost in Central Park.

Sara Saldi

One of the original instructors, Sara has been with socialsklz:-) from the early days helping the program get off the ground.

She has worked in the communications field for three years at companies throughout New York City (she met Faye when she interned at Faye Elizabeth Communications, Inc.). A Communications grad from New York University, she teaches in our weekday program as well as our Saturday workshops. Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, she moved to New York in 2007. She loves traveling, photography, and homemade Italian food.

Morgan Maclver

Morgan moved to New York City in 2007 and claims she was struck by the lack of social awareness and consideration displayed throughout the city.

Morgan has worked in various capacities throughout her time in New York- as an intern at WABC, a communications intern with the New York Democratic Senate Campaign Committee, and a paralegal. Morgan is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania where her mom is a newscaster. She loves reading, dancing, and baking cupcakes.
