Heading to summer camp can elicit all sorts of feelings; a new place with new people, experiences, and activities can cause anxiety for kids and parents alike. It’s essential to prepare your child, whether it's for a day camp or a sleep-away camp. Be sure your child has the tools to camp with confidence to make for a wonderful social experience!

Topics include:

  • Making new friends/Seeing old friends
  • Bus talk/Bus do's and don'ts
  • Initiating conversations
  • Making a good first impression
  • Dining effectively in the mess hall
  • Trying new activities
  • Managing homesickness or physical illness
  • Handling sticky social situations
  • Grooming and managing independent living (bunks and showers for sleep away campers)
  • Abiding by technology rules  
  • Setting goals
  • Making camp a great experience
